About us
Built for volleyball players,
by volleyball players.
volleyOS is made by Maggie and Logan, a married couple who play and coach at a volleyball club in Hertfordshire, England. We started it in 2026.
Logan is also a qualified referee, so we tend to see a match from a few sides at once. This all started because we wanted to understand what actually happened in our own games. We filmed them, then sat down afterwards and worked it out by hand, pausing and rewinding the footage and keeping tallies on paper next to each player's name. Kills, errors, who served the run that turned a set. It worked, but it ate whole evenings, and the next match was usually played before we had finished counting the last one.
Trying to fix that for ourselves led somewhere we hadn't planned. The more we looked, the more obvious it became that local clubs have very little built for them. There are tools for the bigger sports, and for professional setups with a budget, but almost nothing that understands volleyball and suits a club that runs on volunteers. A lot of clubs keep their results and their whole online life in a group chat and a spreadsheet, and it tends to vanish when the person holding it moves on.
So volleyOS became more than a way to count stats. It grew into a home online for a volleyball club, one that fits how the sport actually works instead of being borrowed from somewhere else. We play and coach at our club, but we don't run it, and that shaped the whole thing. It needed to be simple enough for whoever picks up the phone on the night, and it had to belong to the club rather than to us.
Underneath all of it there is one thing we really care about. We want more people playing volleyball. If making it easier for a local club to score its matches, keep its history and be found online helps a few more people find the game and stay in it, then it has done its job.
More people playing volleyball.
