Who runs volleyOS
volleyOS is run by Logan Burney (sole trader), Hertfordshire, England. Logan and Maggie Burney play and coach at a volleyball club in Hertfordshire. Email [email protected] and one of us will answer.
What the public can see
- Match links. Anyone with a match's link sees the score, the set history and the point-by-point timeline.
- Player names are hidden by default. Every team starts with names hidden on public pages, so the timeline says “Kill”, not who made it. An admin can switch an adult team to initials or full names once its players agree.
- Junior teams can never show names. A team marked junior is locked to hidden names for as long as it is marked junior.
- The club page is off until an admin turns it on. It shows the club's name, branding, team records and results, plus any description or contact details the club chooses to add.
What stays inside the club
- The roster: never shown on any public page.
- Who the members and admins are, and the club's invite code.
- Availability replies. A note a player adds is readable only by the match organizer, never by the rest of the team.
- Players are entered by the club as a name, shirt number and position. They are not accounts, and we ask for nothing else about them. Accounts are for the adults running the club; on a junior team, a parent or guardian answers for the player.
Where the data is stored
volleyOS runs on Google Firebase, which stores the data on Google infrastructure in the United States. Subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google and by RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous account identifier and never a name, email address or card details. There is no advertising and no third-party tracking in the app.
Deleting data
Anyone can delete their account in the app (You → Manage clubs and account → Delete account). Matches a club has played stay with the club, no longer connected to that person. To erase a whole club and its history, email [email protected] from the account's address and we will do it. UK and EU users have the rights set out in the privacy policy, including the right to complain to the ICO.
