Is the club page really free?
Yes. Publishing a live public page (scores, results, season records, a link ready for the group chat) is free for every club, forever. The paid Club tier buys getting found, with a listing in the directory and search indexing, and looking like the club's own, with a custom address and your colours and crest. It never buys the page itself.
What do the paid tiers actually buy?
Insight and identity, never your own results. Player Pass and Coach read deeper into stats you already own for free; Club brands your page and gets it discovered; tournaments run the bracket for you. Your matches, results and records stay free forever, whatever you do or don't pay for.
What happens to our data if we stop paying?
You keep it. Every match you have scored stays yours and stays in your history, and anything paid for outright stays public forever — a club page or a tournament site never goes dark because a subscription lapsed. The paid tiers buy analysis and branding, never access to your own results.
Who actually does the scoring?
A person, on a phone, courtside — usually a parent or a player who is off. One tap per point. It is deliberately simple enough that whoever is free can pick it up, and nothing in the app watches or scores the game for you.
Can we add matches we played before volleyOS?
Yes. Enter the set scores of a past match by hand and it joins your history and your season records. There is no point-by-point log behind a back-entered result, just the scoreline and the winner, but it counts towards your record like any other match.
Does everyone need to install something?
Only whoever is scoring. Everybody else (parents, teammates, the group chat) opens a link in the browser they already have. No camera, no video stream, no upload: what travels is the score, which is why anyone can follow from a link and why it survives a bad hall connection.
